The compliant supports for an avionics tray mounted in an aircraft must be designed so that the electronics do not see the peak accelerations at the mount locations, i.e.the transmissibility must be less than 1.0.
The electronics are modeled with point masses with appropriate inertias. The response at the center of mass is compared to the design allowables.
In addition to ensuring that the electronics modules do not experience accelerations outside the design envelope, the tray itself must not develop fatigue cracks. The analysis explicitly modeled each fastener for strength and fatigue.
