Drill Bit Case Drop test
The transport case for this heavy, high-value drill bit must be able to sustain a drop of six feet without damage to the drill bit, damage to the threads on the drill bit pin, and without the latches securing the top to the case separating. An explicit dynamics finite element analysis in which all the surfaces may contact was used.
